Overview
MarketView allows customers to view, manage and distribute market data via network, intranet, Internet and wireless devices. Marketview’s client application suite is composed of a series of information display components, and a powerful framework that provides a highly flexible and personalized interface for consistent data viewing and manipulation.

The suite of server software enables scalable and reliable streaming of data in two directions over the Internet as well as the enterprise network. MarketView display components provide a variety of ways to display, track, and analyze real-time and historical prices as well as news headlines, stories, graphical and proprietary data. Its market leading MarketView Instant Messaging allows users to communicate and share information to better formulate strategies through private or enterprise-wide chats allowing traders to attach charts, graphs, news and data.

• Lower software system costs - MarketView is priced on a modular basis so that each user pays only for the corporate and user functions needed.
• Lower data costs - The MarketView middle tier supports user-by-user data permission entitlements so that each user pays only for the data sources to which they subscribe. Unbundled pricing can provide significant cost advantages to customers from their use of third-party data providers. The MarketView middle tier also allows customers to capture significant savings from the automation and zero latency transfer of internally-generated information across the enterprise, increasing operational efficiency while reducing the risks of costly errors inherent in a manual environment.
• Lower training costs - The MarketView client application can run entirely within a web-browser and its simple point and click interface requires little training to master.

Additional value may be gained in this model by channeling proprietary data sources through the GlobalView data server. These results are then displayed in the MarketView client or a client designed and built by GlobalView for customized display requirements, such as e-confirmation or trade execution displays. Customers can easily import their proprietary price or text information into the MarketView system and have it distributed to the MarketView client application and/or other applications in the same manner as data provided by other data suppliers. The complete flexibility and open architecture provides unlimited opportunity to create tightly integrated information display solutions with other functions within a web site.
