Version 3.4 Enhancements

Significant enhancements have been made in the analysis capabilities of the chart and table components. First, we have added the ability to perform multiple symbol studies. The first two to be added are Correlation and Covariance studies. See the screen below for an example of a correlation study.

We have also added another tab to the component properties dialog to handle the analysis of ISO data. You can see that the options give the user the ability to access Peak, Off-Peak and a defined range of hours. Don’t remember the range of hours for peak and off-peak in a particular market? Don’t worry, GlobalView has taken the guesswork out of the process for you. See below for an example from the NYISO.

The Quote View component has had the default setting for options changed. The options chain will now be sorted by strike price by default.

  New Features In 3.3 Include:

  New Units of Conversion Supported
MarketView now supports most gas and electric power units of measure. Saving the users time and effort, MarketView has the ability to convert any unit of measure to any other, even if it is weight to liquid volume, gas volume to power and even liquid volume to electric power. Generally accepted industry standard values for conversion are included, as well as an area for a user to define his own conversion factors. You can even convert real-time prices in your QuoteViews as well as charts and tables. The following units of measure have been added:

    KWH – Kilowatt Hours
MWH – Megawatt Hours
GWH – Gigawatt Hours
GJ – Gigajoules
MMBTU – Million British Thermal Units
THM - Therms

  QuoteView Enhancements
Users can now add QuoteView objects to their MarketView sheets that have default sets of fields that are better suited to the different types of data that will be displayed. Display defaults are now available for Spot data, Stocks, Futures Day Session, Futures Nightly Sessions, as well as Options. Users will also be able to save their own default settings for each category. An option to color the "Last" field red or green in QuoteView as compared to previous settlement price has been added to the current option that compares the price to the last ticked value. This is a user-controlled setting managed via the component edit panel. By default the original color coding against the previous ticked value will remain. Directional arrows have also been added to the field list (see below).

  Chart Enhancements
Support for the display of the last value on Y-axis in charts has been added. Users can now copy and paste trend lines to form parallel lines and price channels. Holding down the (ctrl) key when clicking on a trend line will copy that line and allow the user to drop it elsewhere in the chart. Holding (Shift) allows the user to move the trend line in the chart. To make it easier for users to identify the point at which their lines begin and end, we have added a cross-hair display cursor when in trendline mode.

The Value Display window now has its values update in real-time and allows the user to place it anywhere on the chart. The 23.6% and 78.62% lines have been added to Fibonacci retracements. Please take a look at the chart below for examples of the enhancements.
