GlobalView Closes Out Record Year; Looks to 2006
CHICAGO, IL January 10, 2006– GlobalView Software Inc., the energy industry’s leading provider of real-time and historic data management solutions, closed out a record-breaking year in 2005 and unveiled progressive plans for 2006.
“We’re charting new territory for GlobalView. We had sales performances of a caliber this company had never seen before. For example, in December we signed three large data integration customers and developed new customer relationships with several other companies. Our sales results throughout the year were influenced by four key trends. First, we continue to provide the most comprehensive suite of data integration services. Second, the industry’s financial services area is growing. Third, more and more companies are realizing the benefits of application rationalization. And fourth, we are gaining rapid acceptance with our web-based solutions,” commented Stephen Gott, Chief Executive Officer. “This momentum is continuing as we cross over into 2006, and I would like to recognize the hard work and dedication of our entire staff.”
In 2005, the company achieved significant growth in key internal areas. The development team nearly doubled its size under the direction of Bruce Weis, Vice President Data Services and Development. The team is responsible for all development work for the MarketView suite of products, as well as ConfirmHub, and its members possess extensive experience in the energy, trading and finance industries. Weis’ team will be launching a new web services application in the first quarter.
GlobalView also experienced internal growth in its sales and marketing departments, which helped fuel the record sales performances. At the close of 2005, the sales department had increased its staff size by three fold. According to Don Labs, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing, the sales team will continue to grow in 2006.
“An integral factor to the successful growth and performance of our sales team was the adoption of the GlobalView Advantage initiative in mid-2005. The GlobalView Advantage represents the new cultural approach and partnership building that we strive to achieve with our customers. This is a new industry concept, and our 2005 results indicate it’s a successful model,” said Labs.
According to Labs, the company made numerous investments in 2005 to support the company’s sales growth. This included investment in the reenergizing of the marketing department. In 2005, the new department kicked off a series of integrated sales and marketing activities, including global webinars, customer events, electronic direct marketing and website enhancements. The sales and marketing departments will continue to work closely to carry on the momentum and execute a number of integrated activities in 2006.
