GlobalView Launches MarketView 4.0
CHICAGO, IL (January 21, 2008) GlobalView Software Inc., the energy industry's leading provider of real-time, delayed, historical and proprietary data management solutions, released MarketView 4.0. This latest version of GlobalView's award-winning data management solution represents the increasing sophistication of comprehensive data management for the energy industry.
MarketView 4.0 brings more functionality to make data retrieval and analysis faster and more convenient.
* Seasonality: Users can retrieve and analyze data according to seasonality (seasonal averaging, differential, weekly and monthly).
* Rollover: With the continuous rollover functionality, users can build a perpetual time series from multiple futures contracts with the data continually rolling to the current month out. The user can also specify the rollover be based on another commodity's expiration date, a specific number of days out or a specific contract month.
* Weekly and monthly aggregation: Weekly and monthly aggregation can be pulled via several new methods, including average, last, first, low, high and mid prices; summation; geometric mean; and harmonic mean.
* Data filling: MarketView has the ability to intelligently fill in data gaps based on frequencies (business, six-day and daily) and methods (forward, backward, average, interpolate).
* Lead and lag: Users can lead or lag according to different time period options.
* Midpoint: Users can apply midpoint data in charts and tables.
