Installation Tests

This page will help you run tests in preparation for installation and use of MarketView.

Follow these steps to see if you can get up and running!

Base Test

1. Base Connectivity Test

Click the button on the right to run our connecitivty test applet.

SUCCESS:

The applet loads and provides the results in its window. When it has completed, you can save the results to a file that can be sent to GlobalView support.

FAILURE:

The applet fails and that indicates you are not able to download and run the Java applet. Please proceed to the Java installation page.


Java Runtime

1. Check Java

Click the button to check which Java version you have installed. If the version of Java is not at least 1.6 you will need to visit the Java Installation page. Once the installation steps are complete, return to this checklist to retest.

SUCCESS:

The message shows that you have Java 1.6 installed. Pleae proceed to the next item.

FAILURE:

The message indicates you do not have the correct Java version installated. Please proceed to the Java installation page.


Java Web Start

3. Check Resource Download

Checks your machine's authority to download securely signed jar files and launch a java application.

SUCCESS:

Application resources download, prompt to accept secure application, green window appears with success message.

FAILURE:

Java Web Start download Error appears. Click "Details" button for information regarding the error.


Java Applet

4. Check Resource Download

Checks your machine's authority to download securely signed jar files and launch a java applet.

SUCCESS:

Application resources download, prompt to accept secure application, green window appears with success message.

FAILURE:

Standard browser error page appears indicating "Page not Found".
